First Love Is A Revolution

First Love Is The Revolution

Breaking is destiny!

In this version of “Romeo and Juliet”, the unusual lovers are a boy suffering from school bullying and a headstrong, spirited girl. They come from two different environments between which peace seems impossible.
This multilayered fantasy explores young people’s search for identity, their relationships with parents, and their adaptation to society — all from an unexpected perspective.
A play about hunger and desire, rebellion and tolerance, our relationship with nature — and, of course, about foxes.

Director Margo Teder:
“Love is what gives us courage. Everything starts with the family. What young people seek is attention. What they don’t get at home, they look for elsewhere. And when they find something out there — be it love or themselves — it becomes the most important thing in a young person’s life.”

Premiered on February 15, 2024, in the Small Hall, Rakvere Theater.
