2026 | Electroacoustic composition | 5:29
The Voice of Time was created for Museum Night 2026 at the Tallinn Museum of Photography, using recordings of analogue cameras from the museum’s collection.
“I remember entering a room with old cameras. It felt as though I had stepped into a sanctuary.”
For Muul, that experience gave the work its almost sacred dimension.
Muul explored the mechanical sounds of the cameras, altering their speed and pitch to uncover rhythms, resonances and harmonic relationships. Sounds that normally last only an instant became the musical material of the composition.
